If we believe that there is only One True God as the Bible teaches, and that He is the God of the Bible, it would be logical to ask the question, "Who created God?" If, "In the beginning God created...", then wouldn't it make sense that God had to come from somewhere?
Moses helps us understand this mystery in Psalm 90:2 where he wrote, "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, you are God."
Additionally, Psalm 106:48 says, "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting."
Therefore, these passages, along with many others throughout Scripture teach that God has always existed. He is outside of time. He is eternal, with no beginning or end. As some have said, He is the "Uncaused Cause."
Next time: How can we really know there is a God?
